More Tips for Sharing on Facebook
Use Bigger Photos
Although the Facebook’s rules seem to always change, one thing hasn’t: Bigger photos and images rule the news feed! Do you blog? Start using bigger images in your blog posts so that when you and other people share your content to Facebook, the bigger image gets attached to your post.
Hashtags Do Work on Facebook
Facebook’s graph search has updated the ability to search photos, old updates and more. The hashtag makes it easy to keep up with what you shared as well as find other people’s public posts that are using the same keywords.
Videos on Facebook
Facebook’s video tab has new and improved features. You can now create a video channel on Facebook, complete with a Featured Video and Playlists. Looks very YouTube-ish to me – and I’m sure it’s not by accident, since videos uploaded directly to your Facebook page show much bigger in the news feed than videos shared from YouTube. Facebook is certainly giving preference to using their platform for sharing videos. The challenge is unlike YouTube, Facebook all but forces you to sign up and create an account to watch.
Sharing OPC: Other People’s Content
I love using Facebook’s scheduler to share content I find on Facebook on my business page. Here’s why: First, the scheduler saves me time and gets the post in the “hopper” so I don’t have to remember to go back and do it later. Best of all, when I share other people’s content, my business page engagement is much higher – Translation: I get more likes, comments and shares when I share quality content on my FB page – even if I’m not the original content creator.
I’m such a believer in this that I recorded a quick video that shows you how to use Facebook’s scheduler to share photos on your timeline. Click Here To Watch The Video.»
After all, sharing is caring. 🙂
